Class ExperiencesDigital Public HistoryTeaching and Learning History in the Digital Age

Introduction Post

Hi All!

I am a second year masters student focused on European History with an Applied Digital History aspect. I have this as page already set up from my Clio and Digital Public History class, take a look around if you want!

As for my college background, I went to Keuka College (in New York) with a political science and history degree. It had a heavy focus on political science and basic American history, but I started thinking of how I want to educate the public without being K-12. I love researching in general and I dream to work in the museum field. I never thought about being in a career that is technology based and outside the box, but here we are! I took Clio Wired class with options of QGIS mapping, text mining, network analysis, etc. but would like to expand on that.

My goal for this class is to allow myself to be challenged, push learning boundaries, and allow myself to be uncomfortable. I told myself I would never be in this career but found my passion here! I want to see what else I will love if I give it a chance and how I can educate the public.
